GT6 is out! Fortunately, I got my hands on a copy of the racing game on the first day of its released. And, it's a special GT6 Collector's Pack, filled with extra goodies for the GT fans. Take a look at what is inside this limited edition version.
That's the box still wrapped in plastic waiting to be opened. The car on the front cover is a Renault Megane Trophy V6 with the '15' trademark paint stripe indicating 15 years of Gran Turismo series on PlayStation.
This GT6 Collector's Pack is 'Asia Exclusive 15th Anniversary Edition' catered for R3 (Asia) region. It was sold retail price RM299 in Malaysia.
Tearing the plastic wrap apart and opening the box in the most gentle way, you'll find these four items: (From top left clockwise) A 1/43 diecast, a 3D voucher card, the game itself and "Beyond the Apex" special booklet. The standard edition contains only the game and the booklet.
With Collector's Pack, you'll get a very exclusive 1/43 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 15th Anniversary Edition diecast made by EBBRO.
The colour, detail and quality of the diecast are excellent for its size which Japanese diecast maker EBBRO is best at.
The 15th Anniversary Gran Turismo livery on the Nissan GT-R looks attractive and it makes a good collection for the true GT fans. I'm real glad to have it! :D
"Beyond the Apex" is a 250-page book that explains everything you need to know about a car. As you can see above, it even covers theoretical information on car engine, backed by scientific formulas. (O.O")
One of the pages showing rotary engine structure diagram and how it works. Appreciate the effort and dedication of the people at Gran Turismo, for making this perfect reading piece.
GT6 (Corvette Stingray C7) now looking simpler and less colourful compared to previous GT5 (Mercedes Benz SLS) cover.
20 cars were given free as Download Contents (DLC) to those who purchased the Limited Edition. Those cars are:-

Audi R18 TDI (2011)
Audi Sport Quattro S1 Rally Car (1986)

And on top of that, Collector's Pack owners get 3 extra cars from the 3D voucher card. Hurray!
Enough of details, let's get the game started!
Voila! At first glance, you might think it's the same as GT5 until you've driven it. As Polyphony Digital had mentioned about its improvement on the suspension and tyres, the driving physique (in game) felt more realistic and you could totally feel the tyres' screeching sound and gripping strength.
They made the 'My Home' main page simpler and easily access to desired game mode.
And, they force you to get this as your first car. Haha!
Race more and you'll get cash to buy cars and even earn free cars as gift after series of achievements. [Bought the AE86 immediately after earning enough LOL]
Easy to drive but hard to master. It takes time for one to be good at this driving simulator. Always remember, practice makes perfect.
Hopefully, the comprehensive unboxing of the GT6 Collector's Pack will encourage you to get the GT6 game. Regardless it's a standard edition or limited edition, GT6 is definitely a fun driving game that allows you to experience real driving virtually in existing circuits and be connected to internet and compete with drivers from all around the world!
Gotta go. Got more GT6 gaming to be done. :D
